Julie Bunker, MSN, RN
Instructor of Nursing
I believe in fostering the growth of knowledge in my students through the use of active learning. I was a student not long ago and remember vividly how important it is to keep students interested in course content while actively participating to ensure that information is remembered for long term use. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at the Freshman and Sophomore levels where curiosity is at it's strongest. Sparking students interest in the field of Nursing is important to me. I ensure that all of my students are treated fairly and with respect, in hopes to inspire students to treat all of their future patients the same way.
Biography
As a Florida native, I chose to attend Â鶹Éçmadou for my undergraduate studies following in the footsteps of my grandmother, aunt and uncle. I graduated successfully in 2017 and decided to stay living in Lakeland with my now husband, whom I met while attending Â鶹Éçmadou. We are now resident Lakelanders, along with our two German Shephards and our baby boy that is on the way. I worked at Lakeland Regional Health for several years on two different floors before deciding to further my education at UCF. After graduating in 2021, I was hired as an Adjunct Instructor for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. This has ultimately led to the full time Faculty position that I now hold. I am grateful every day to be able to share my knowledge with our future nurses. Go Mocs!Education
